Dr Darren Wishart is Principal Scientist in work related road safety and motorcycle safety with the Australian Road Research Board’s (ARRB) Safe Systems and Human Factors team. He has over 15 years experience in road safety research and has a particular focus on transferring research knowledge into practical industry application. Dr Wishart is a registered psychologist and is an accomplished public speaker and workshop facilitator delivering numerous seminars, workshops and public speaking engagements on work related road safety and motorcycle safety both nationally and internationally.
Dr Wishart is responsible for the development and delivery of the highly successful work and organisational driving safety behaviour and attitude change program.
Dr Wishart has also been responsible for providing expert guidance and leading a project on the development of a safety management system for the public transport sector in Jakarta.
Dr Wishart’s research involves working closely with stakeholders in the vehicle fleet industry to improve organisational driving safety through education, research, enhanced safety system management and benchmarking.
